Aloha! We’re Mitch and Lori, a husband-and-wife team who spent years bringing Kona — our vintage 1967 Volkswagen 21-window Deluxe bus — back to life.We found Kona as little more than a rusted shell, and slowly brought her back to life with vision, dedication, and hands-on work. From metalwork and body restoration to custom features and fine interior details, we poured ourselves into every step of the process — doing as much of the build as we could ourselves. Her full transformation is documented on our YouTube channel, MicBergsma, where Kona’s story has inspired a worldwide audience.

Wanting to share her in a way that reflects her rarity and beauty, we now offer Kona for photoshoots and styled events throughout Maui, delivering a truly elevated experience.She’s not for driving — Kona is a luxury showpiece, delivered and presented by us with the utmost care. We stay onsite for every booking to ensure a seamless, professional experience from start to finish.Whether you're planning an elopement, wedding, family session, or brand shoot, Kona brings a sense of nostalgic elegance and iconic style to your captured memories — and we’re honored to be part of your story.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Choose your photographer
Photography isn’t included, so you’ll book your own photographer. Need suggestions? We’re happy to recommend talented Maui pros we’ve worked with before.2. Pick a location.
You can choose a scenic spot, venue, or private property — just let us know where, and we’ll confirm it’s safe and accessible for Kona. All locations must be approved.3. Lock in your date and time.
Once your location and photographer are set, we’ll schedule Kona’s arrival. We deliver her clean, styled, and photo-ready — and we stay onsite during the session to help as needed.

📸 Photoshoot Package
2-Hour Standard Photoshoot — $500 + delivery fee
• Up to 2 hours on location with Kona the Bus
• Delivery and setup by our team (we drive the bus to your location)
• Onsite presence throughout the shoot
• Clients may pose with the bus — not driven or operated by clients
• Hawaii GET (4.712%) will be added to your totalExtra Time: $150/hour
Operating Hours: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
